Day 12: Jan. 12, 2010

Well I was attempting to get Sadie, my dog, to take a picture with me but she was more interested in what her older sister, other dog Sophie, was doing than to pose with me. I waxed my eyebrows today but this picture really doesn't show that. I have never done them myself but I can't ever find the time to go get them done. So I went ahead and did them myself.
Henry is starting to walk behind things if he is holding on of course. He gets so excited when he walks...his laugh is hilarious. It is amazing to me how quickly he has grown. He has such a personality!

Random Tuesday Thoughts

I am glad we don't living Illinois right now....hate to say it because I hate Las Vegas and all its dirtiness but dang its cold back in Illinois. I will stick with my 60 degree weather thanks!

Sean changed shifts at work and now Henry won't sleep through the night or past 7am! Seriously kid give me a break! I like this new schedule but sure don't like getting up in the middle of the night and then again at 7am.

My truck is making a wicked bad noise when I turn now! It is kind of embarrasing and really annoying. But it seems like something is always the matter with my truck so I am not sure why I am surprised!

Day 11: Jan. 11, 2010

Today Sean started working different hours at work which will be an adjustment for both of us. I think it will be better for me at least because I am more productive at night than I am in the morning. Tonight I spent the evening cleaning the oven and stove....have I mentioned I HATE having a gas stove? Well in case I haven't I really despise having a gas stove/oven! I took everything apart and scrubbed the stove top, front and sides of it. Then I used the self-cleaning feature to clean the oven. Oh my goodness the smoky nastiness! I even had all of the smoke alarms going...oops. I had to open all of the windows to clear the smoke. I forgot one important thing when I opened the windows....one of the screens is ripped and needs replaced. So in all of my cleaning madness I had to go find our runaway blind cat! Oh tonight has been a great night. Well enough of my rambling....on to the pictures!
By the way I plan to have my hair done next....I am going to take Ashley's advice and get a perm! Woohoo...now I just have to find a great stylist....any tips (hint Mrs. Seamonster!)

Menu: Jan. 10 through Jan. 16

I completely forgot to post the weekly menu. Sean is starting a new work schedule this week so our menu is a little unusual. I am sure once we get into the swing of the new schedule I can create a better menu.
I am only posting our main meals for this week because I am not completely sure what the other two meals will be. I am also not posting sides...we like to pick our sides depending on our mood.

Sunday: KFC
Monday: Chicken Teriyaki and Broccoli
Tuesday: Honey Garlic Chicken
Wednesday: Pot Roast
Thursday: Tuna Noodle
Friday: Red Beans and Rice Deluxe
Saturday: Veggie Burgers

Last weeks meals were really yummy. The only thing we didn't eat was the portobella cap pizza. The Veggie Quiche was the BEST! Sean thought I was crazy when I was making and was very prepared to go out and pick up some fast food but he was pleasantly surprised at how great it tasted. I must say it was even better leftover the next day.

I am still working on the best way to do our menu planning so if you have any advice please let me know!

Weekend Recap Days 9 and 10

So I was a slacker yesterday and didn't post my picture...I know I am totally lazy huh?
On Saturday I don't think we got off the couch except to get food...we were totally lazy. Today we hit the gym and watched the NFC Wildcard Game but that was about it.
Anyway I cannot remember which day each of these pictures were taken but here they are! Please excuse the sweats...I love my sweats ;-)

Day 8: Jan. 8, 2010

A day late but here it is....
Watch out folks...he is a CLIMBER! He climbed up on that chair so he could get into things he isn't supposed too.
I took this last night after we got home from celebrating DH's birthday. We had a great night out...even got a babysitter to go to the movies.

These are pictures of the ice cream cake I made for DH's birthday. I had never made an ice cream cake but it turned out really yummy. I have decided I think I want to take a cake decorating class though...I enjoy making cakes but am not very good a decorating.
